The records document correpondence with subscribers and others relating to Consumers' Research's services and publications. Included are favorable and critical correspondence commenting on CR's technical skills, services, ratings, policies, political and economic stances, style and format, the Consumers' Research Bulletin, editorials, movie and record listings, and subscription rates. Many subscribers also wrote with suggestions of subjects for future magazine issues. The records also contain comments on CR from lawyers, physicians, dentists, technicians, advertising professionals, conservatives, cranks, and anonymous writers.
